Artisans Development co-operative Ltd.4429 Kerala, shortly known as "ARTCO" is a statewide co-operative organization registered under co-operative Societies Act with registered at Thiruvananthapuram and which was controlled by Kerala state Government. ARTCO was registered and started function in the year 2000. The prime object of ARTCO is the development of Artisans members of Kerala by rendering technical and financial assistance to these member workers engaged in the traditional work in the field of wood craft,Masonary, Stone work, Black smithy, Goldsmithy , other metal and jewellery works Copper and bronze works etc. By this period of one decade ARTCO having more than 50000 A class members where as more than 35000 members are fully artisans who are exclusively carpenters and steel workers engaged with there traditional works as explained above. ARTCO has started 4 Zonal Branches at Kottayam, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kollam and also has opened 2 district branches at Chenganoor(Alappuzha) and Palakkad.

The major business of ARTCO now deeply carried on is the work, that is constituted under Store Purchase Scheme, which the State Government has given special privilege to this institution.
